Young children’s patterns of eye tracking while watching a short video were associated with likelihood of having autism spectrum disorder, a pilot study found.
An autism risk index based on eye movements was validated in two cohorts — an initial and replication sample — led by Thomas Frazier, PhD, of the Cleveland Clinic. Results were published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
